Lys and Lama Riachi have given BLSSD a distinct fashion point of view connected to personal experience and purpose. That is a specific kind of achievement: building a recognisable creative language while allowing it to become part of someone else’s life. The sisters speak about growing the brand’s reach and depth while preserving its essence. Their joint account also makes room for creative differences. Her account includes criticism about cooking Japanese food as a non-Japanese chef and gender stereotypes she has encountered. Those are her experiences, reported in that interview. They sit alongside the restaurant she has built and the standards she wants to carry forward.
